Tanner Ainge

Chief Executive Officer

Tanner is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Banner and oversees all of our firm’s investment activities.

Throughout his career as a private equity investor, M&A attorney and executive of an acquisitive publicly-traded company, Tanner has helped create value for business owners in a wide variety of industries and size ranges, ranging from $10 million to over $2 billion in enterprise value. He began his career in private equity with HGGC and later advised some of the leading private equity firms in their buyout transactions as an attorney with Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

In the realm of public service, Tanner served on the Utah County Board of Commissioners from 2019–2021. He was also appointed to serve on the Governor’s Economic Development Board for the State of Utah.

Tanner received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law.

Tyler Price

Managing Director

In his role as a Managing Director of Banner, Tyler leads our underwriting and deal execution activities. Tyler began his career in investment banking with Citigroup in New York City. He then joined the private equity firm Tower Arch Capital, where he focused on middle-market buyout transactions. Most recently, Tyler was with Lucid Software, a pre-IPO technology company where he led corporate development.

Tyler earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Nicole Colindres

Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Nicole oversees much of our firm's operations, human resources, investor relations and external communications, in addition to working in close partnership with our CEO.

Nicole brings a decade of experience working with founders, CEOs, and executives in private equity-backed businesses and the ability to manage any project that comes her way.

Nicole attended Brigham Young University - Idaho, where she studied Communications. As an OKR certified coach, she is committed to operational excellence and promoting collaboration across teams.

Mark Broadbent

Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer

Mark Broadbent serves as Vice President on our deal execution team and also serves as Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing our entire compliance & training function.

In addition to his private equity & venture capital experience, Mark has advised many emerging growth companies on transactions and commercial matters and also played a key operational role with a large U.S.-based consumer company's global expansion.

Mark earned his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and his Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in Finance from the Marriott School of Business.

Cooper Ainge

Vice President

Cooper is a Vice President with Banner and plays a key role in all of our underwriting and deal execution activities. Cooper began his career in technology investment banking with William Blair in New York City and Boston. He then joined the private equity firm BV Investment Partners, where he focused on partnering with founders in the technology and business services sectors.

Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University and is fluent in Spanish.

Brady Roth

Senior Associate

Brady is a Senior Associate with Banner and plays a key role in all of our underwriting and deal execution activities. Brady began his career in investment banking with Deloitte Corporate Finance in Charlotte, North Carolina. He then joined the middle-market private equity firm CW Industrial Partners in Cleveland, Ohio, where he focused on partnering with founders in industrial sectors.

Brady earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah and is fluent in Spanish.

Nick Thorndike

Analyst

Nick is an Analyst with Banner and supports all of our sourcing, underwriting and deal execution activities. He also works directly with our founder & CEO on strategic projects and firm operations.

Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Utah while gaining experience with a leading hedge fund in New York City and a private equity firm based in Boston, where he is originally from.

Ron Labrum

Advisor

Mr. Labrum is an experienced operator and leader in healthcare distribution and medical device sectors who began his career with American Hospital Supply and spent over 25 years with Baxter International (NYSE: BAX), Allegiance Healthcare, and Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH). Mr. Labrum’s career has been distinguished by leadership roles in sales, operations, and manufacturing in addition to execution and integration of several mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Labrum was CEO of Fenwal, Inc., a private equity backed spinout of Baxter’s device business focused on blood technologies. Mr. Labrum led Fenwal for six years prior to a successful sale of the company to Fresenius SE & Co.

Mr. Labrum currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Premier Plastics, a Banner portfolio company. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Utah State University.

Rod Larson

Advisor

Rod is a seasoned executive with international experience in the business services, manufacturing, and distribution sectors. Mr. Larson began his career with over ten years at FMC Corporation followed by Key Technology Inc.

Mr. Larson was later with Gerber Scientific Inc. where he oversaw the spin out of Spandex, a leading supplier of signage and digital materials. Rod was then CEO of Spandex for over a decade where he oversaw significant growth across two different private equity sponsors. Mr. Larson’s career has been distinguished by global leadership roles and the execution and integration of dozens of acquisitions around the world.

Mr. Larson holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Arizona State University, and Masters of Science in Ceramic Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

James Reed

Advisor

Mr. Reed is a seasoned executive who, over the past 25 years, has built an impressive career in executive and financial leadership for well-known companies in trucking, technology, and finance, including Walmart, Intel, EMC, T-Mobile, and J.P. Morgan Chase. With experience as a board member, CEO and CFO of publicly-traded companies, Mr. Reed is a valuable advisor for any business considering a step into the capital markets.

Mr. Reed has forged a reputation for being an effective and well-respected leader with experience in financial management, strategic planning, controllership, business analytics, supply chain, transportation management and operations.

He previously led USA Truck, where he spent nearly six years as Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, he led a successful turnaround of the business, culminating in the company's acquisition by German transportation firm D.B. Schenker in September 2022.

Mr. Reed holds a holds an MBA in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Cameron Tanner

Advisor

Cameron has helped build our firm from day one by playing a critical role in sourcing partnership opportunities with incredible founders. Cameron played the primary role in sourcing our investment into Pattern, which is the largest in our firm's history.

Cameron continues to work as an Advisor and in that capacity develops and identifies new partnership opportunities with founders, with a strong regional focus in Utah and Arizona. His previous experience includes Citigroup, Vivint Solar and SageCreek Partners.

Cameron earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brigham Young University.
